A Healthy and Fun Running Event

The ING Philadelphia Children's Run is a great opportunity for young runners ages 3-12 to participate in a healthy and fun running event.

The ING RUN FOR SOMETHING BETTER program helps fund running and physical fitness education programs in schools. The program offers children a healthy start to life and fosters their desire to exercise before obesity ever begins.

The full 100% of your contribution will go towards helping kids in your local area become fit. Donate $10 or more and you'll receive a bright pair of orange laces as a token of our appreciation and a symbol of your support for youth running and fitness.

ING Run For Something Better sponsors children from The School District of Philadelphia to participate in the ING Philadelphia Children's Run.

How to Register Health and Fitness Expo: Register at the Health & Fitness Expo on Friday, September 19 or Saturday, September 20. Race Day: Registration opens at 7:00 am on the southeast side of Eakins Oval. You may also request an entry form by mail. Please contact us at the address below and we will be happy to mail a form to you. We do not accept phone entries.

Race Number and T-Shirt Pickup

You can pick up your race number and T-Shirt at the Health & Fitness Expo or on race day. The Expo will take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Friday, September 19 (11 am – 6 pm) and Saturday, September 20 (9 am – 5 pm). Race day pickup will be on the southeast side of Eakins Oval.

Start and Finish Line Locations

The start line is on Benjamin Franklin Parkway east of Eakins Oval; this is the same start line as the half marathon. All kids’ races finish on the eastbound side of the Parkway.

Participants will receive:

• T-shirt
• Official race number
• Cool finisher's medal!

Finish Line Party

Be sure to stick around after the race for the Finish Line Festival! There will be live music, games, food, and other fun activities in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This is one party you don't want to miss!
